One fly, one job: tap it before it jumps away again.
I built Catch the Fly because I wanted a game I could open in one tab, play for twenty seconds, and close again without thinking about it. There's no account, no install, no tutorial video — a fly lands somewhere on the screen, you tap it, it jumps to a new spot, and your job is to keep up. The faster you get, the faster it moves.
Everything runs client-side. Your record, your language, and your visual
preferences are saved with localStorage in your own browser, so nothing
about how you play ever reaches a server. Read more about that on the
about page, or check the full
Privacy Policy.
Before you start a round you can tweak three things: how long the timer runs (or turn it off entirely), how many flies are active at once, and how long each fly sits still before jumping again. One fly with a long pause is a relaxed warm-up; ten flies with a short pause is closer to whack-a-mole at full speed. The interface is available in nine languages, and you can switch between a hand-drawn "Classic" sketch look and a flatter "Modern" icon style, each with a light and dark variant.
For a longer breakdown, including scoring quirks and strategy notes, see the full How to Play & Tips page.

Catch the Fly is an independently made hobby project that I build and maintain by myself in my spare time. Found a bug, or have an idea for a feature? Email me at catchtheflygame@protonmail.com — I read everything that comes in.
